The EFG Team had another solid day on the race course and we can say the same for the corinthian team, Gill Race Team, that held on to their first place position. Really great sailing from Miles Quinton, Geoff Carveth, and team. They have put a lot of effort into the Melges 24 in the last couple of years and it is showing.
Yesterday we said that we were going to prioritize doing a couple of practice starts before the actual starts. We did this and our starts were 90% better then yesterday’s! We were always in the front row and always held our lane.
With only half of the regatta completed we need to continue with starting well and just getting solid scores on the leader board. Everything else will fall in place…. Tomorrow’s goals are to work on being more proactive with our rig and downwind sail selection.
